Ministry
Sunday School
“Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.”
(Deuteronomy 6:6).
Our Sunday school classes started in 2011 when the CSI Congregation was established in Dublin. The vision of Sunday school is to lead the children towards Christ, enriching them with His Knowledge, Love, and preparing them as His disciples. The mission of the Sunday school is to facilitate each and every child to grow with Christian values through relevant Biblical teaching, enriching their scripture knowledge and understanding, developing leadership qualities among them and bring them up as a good citizens of this and the eternal world.
Activities:
- Sunday School Classes are held after the services at the church.
- Sunday School Annual Examinations and Talent Competitions are conducted in November.
- Sunday School Day Service is held in November in which our Children take an active role in the service.
- Sunday School Camp is conducted yearly.
It is a time of much learning, excitement, and spiritual awakening for children. Children present songs/skits during the Christmas Carols. The Sunday School classes helps to inculcate Christian values in children and to shape their character as they face a world of differing standards and priorities. We diligently follow our motto “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Youth Movement
“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
Timothy 4:12
Youth ministry is important, necessary, and useful in today’s society not only for the youth of our churches but for our overall mission of the church. The Youth Group exists to glorify God by raising up the next generation of young believers. We want to support the work of discipleship already begun in Christian homes and bring new believers into our fold through evangelism. We also aim to serve our congregation in Christian love.
The youth ministry in our church is still young and has a long way to go. But we are constantly striving to help the church in every realm of service to spread the word of love
Women’s Fellowship
There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her. Luke 10:42
The CSI Women’s Fellowship, Dublin, engages in a meaningful ministry through enhancing the life and mission of the Congregation. Through prayer and activities, it encourages and empowers the women to witness Christ in the family, Church and society. Uniting women in prayer, service, and witness, it enables them to grow spiritually. The members are encouraged to uphold the sanctity of Christian marriage and family life and serve those in need within and without the Church.
The programmes of the Women’s Fellowship can be classified into devotional and diaconal. The devotional includes spiritual retreats, chain-prayer, and Women’s Day Celebration. The diaconal functions at two levels. Within the Church, the Fellowship serves the Congregation by organising Kanji & Payar after the Good Friday Service, hospitality during special functions, and refreshments (on a discount rate) after the divine services. Fundraising events like ‘Charity Lunch and Snack Sale’ are organised to engage in the second level of diaconia, i.e., in the society. The Women’s Fellowship has contributed to several missions and ministries during the past years. They include housing projects, medical help, educational help, women’s empowerment and rehabilitation projects, and mission support.
Church Choir
The apostle Paul wrote to the saints: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace Colossians 3:16Choir, also known as a chorale or chorus, is a musical ensemble of singers. Music is used to glorify God as do the angels in heaven and also to teach the gospel. Our choir group is visioned to lead and enliven the congregation’s song, to sing music that the congregation cannot, to serve as a small-group within the church for faith formation, and to sing beautiful and challenging music to glorify God and to edify the congregation. We as a choir group started our baby step in 2011 with just 6 members. Starting as a small group God enabled us to grow in a blessed way with the strength of 32 members currently in the Choir including juniors. We are actively participating in all the church services encouraging excellence in worship and glorifying God. Training our choir group is a mission which includes junior and seniors choir members after every service. Every year on Christmas eve we conduct Carol services spreading the spirit of the newborn King. It is a celebration for the entire church and a great fellowship evening. With the leadership of the choir, the church members make Carol rounds in every house, singing, and it’s a great joy for all involved in the visits, especially children. Ecumenical Carols in Ireland have a Carol evening on Christmas occasion, called Shubaho. We as a choir group actively participate every year in this program and proudly represent our Holy Trinity CSI Church, Dublin.
